I currently work as a senior designer for Clinique North America. My focus is concepting, designing and executing work for the visual merchandising displays at Macy’s Herald Square, Sephora, Nordstrom and Ulta. I also create print ads for Ulta magazine and promotional in-store signage for Macy’s and Ulta.
I enjoy creating in-store visual merchandising and collateral materials. The challenge is to ensure that the global campaigns are faithfully translated into compelling executions for the North American market. I collaborate closely with copywriters, 3D designers and marketing to ensure design and messaging work cohesively across channels. I help present work at weekly creative reviews, communicate my design intention and help to look for solutions that are on-time and on-budget.
I help concept and plan photoshoots through mood boards, inspirational swipe ideas and creative decks. I collaborate with marketing to create shot lists which align with their budgets and ensure we have the products needed on set. I have on-set experience working with my Creative Director. One particularly fun concept that I came up with was drawing hearts with different colored lipsticks for a Valentine’s Day promotional campaign.
The Chubby Lip, Cheek and Eye launch campaigns were robust 360 campaigns which included print ads, visual merchandising, and on-counter displays. The impactful photography with the playful copylines created a stunning visual campaign that helped the product fly off the shelves.
